3. Voice Cloning My Own Voice

Here’s where it gets really interesting. ElevenLabs can take a sample of your own voice and build a clone that sounds strikingly real.

I uploaded recordings of my own voice, and within minutes had a digital version of myself that could read any script I typed in. For marketers, this means you can keep your voice consistent across podcasts, tutorials, and campaigns — without needing to record every line manually.

This was a test using just a very short audio clip of myself speaking for basic testing. Elevenlabs also offers a professional clone but it requires at least 30 minutes of audio. I will be doing that in the near future and will update this review with the results.

4. Revoicing Existing Videos - Lipsyncing

To push things further, I paired ElevenLabs voices with video editing tools that can swap out or replace narration. This means you can take existing videos and instantly localize or rebrand them with new voices or even new languages while keeping the visuals intact. The AI basically syncs the lip movements of the speaker to the new audio.

Below is a test where I took a video I generated using Leonardo.ai and used another tool sync.so to do the lip-syncing. I made three versions of the same dialogue using Elevenlabs and then put it all together.

This was a quick and dirty test to showcase what can be done. Sync.io has higher quality output options and there are other AI video tools available. This quick test shows off just how many different ways you can use these voice technologies as a marketer.
